Just because it's a salad doesn't mean that it's healthy. Eat This, Not That! did a list of 20 salads, worse than a whopper:

Thanks for sharing. I have been suckered into this before by ordering a salad only to come home and look up the calorie count with regret. I love having calorie count apps like MFP on my smart phone so I can look up calories on the go

I'll take the Whopper over any salad given a choice.
When I go to BK, it's not to taste their wretched salads.

Me too! If we are heading out to eat somewhere, I'm on my phone checking the nutritional value so I can figure out what to eat before I get there.

Is it just me or did very few of those actually look like a salad? Thanks for sharing :)
  • even if they are worse in cals, most of them are healthier than a whopper. burger bread is just too bad, with all that sugar in it.
the fat in the "bad" salads usually comes from the dressings and mostly is olive oil, which is good for you!! and of course salads with chicken nuggets are not low cal or healthy..

just remember to stay AWAY from fried, breaded meats and always order the dressing ON THE SIDE. A trick is to dip the tines of your fork into the dressing... you will get the same taste and use a lot less.

Following these tips will make MOST salads a healthier alternative when eating out. Use common sense.
