Hello, completely new to my fitness pal. a few facts about me, i am just over 11 and a half stone which is not fat by any means but i would definitely like to drop a stone if not more so that i can feel comfortable in my swimwear on a beach holiday in 6 months time. i have a wonderful boyfriend who tells me I'm perfect everyday which is part of the reason i was blinded by eating bad foods, 'shall we just get a takeaway' and gaining weight but being told ur fine doesn't really help. I love my food, but i don't eat as often as i should, i don't eat breakfast which i know has to change, and often i'll arrive home from work at the end of the day and not fancy a full-on meal so i'll just snack. i don't eat much in the way of high flour content foods because it doesn't affect me well which does help with diet but i find the replacements bland and dry so end up in a food rut eating the same few things all the time. Is there anyone else who has this problem? Will keeping a food diary on this site help me to not snack and keep a close eye on what I'm eating day to day? Would love to be able to lose a few lbs by stopping the snacking and making subtle changes to feel better in myself. xxx

Hi there! Welcome to MFP . I can definitely relate to gaining weight when the boyfriend is around haha . I guess we all tend to eat more when we're happy. Plus guys can eat so much more than we can and not gain weight like us girls. I just want to lose a bit more weight as well. I find that cutting out all boxed foods makes a drastic difference in losing weight. All those added hidden sugars in processed food can really mess weight loss progress. When I stopped drinking soda I dropped an instant 10 pounds (no joke!) Hope that helps0

Welcome!! I just started this the beginning of the year, and I already feel better and more conscience about the food I'm eating. I get really excited when I work out and input the calorie burn, makes me feel accomplished. You'll love this. I don't know how it took me so long to discover MFP.
Good luck and Best Wishes!!!0 -
