This is my first message board anywhere, so I'll try to get the hang of it. I'm a super busy mom of 3, ages 8, 5, and 4. My 2 sisters lost alot of weight, so now I want to because for the first time, now I'm the fat sister. Fast food is probably what kills me, especially with the kids. My oldest is already paying for our fast food addiction, she's about 10 lbs overweight, which isn't bad, except for an 8 year old. While I'm about 50 lbs overweight, my husband is about 100 lbs over, and he's diabetic, type 2. He doesn't intend to, but he sabotages alot since his family raised him to show love with food.

One of my skinny sister is Maggie, or Mags. Don't tell me you're her! Also wondered if anyone knows how to lose weight without losing your curves. I didn't have a butt at all until I was 150. Now I'm scared I'll lose it.
  • Ok, ok, I must admit it, it's me

No, I'm just messing with you.

About the butt, the best thing is to sculp it.

Stand on your hands and knees, and then lift one leg at a time, (knee towards the floor, and the sole of your foot towards the ceiling), Hold for at least 5 secs, and do 10 times on each leg, at least 2 times a day.
  • Hi, I just joined a few days ago and I have another 37 lbs to go to reach my goal of 153 lbs (and then I will re-evaluate)
My husband is also Type 2 and I know how hard it is having to deal with proper meals and nutrition..
My husband is not doing too bad weightwise as he usually sticks around in the range of 168lbs-177 lbs but he does like his junk food:grumble:
As a kid I was always the chubby one and fight for every lb lost. I don`t care anymore if I weight more as long as I get to be the healthier one of us girls(4 of us)

I say that moving forward 1 foot at a time, we can do this and even if you do go to fast food restaurents as a treat, the menus are changing to include healthier versions so make a deal that `s the menu you`ll chose.

Good luck and by the way, I`d like to add that we have joined the Y.M.C.A as a family and find it very rewarding. There is something to do for everyone and altough we go our seperate ways once at the gym, it`s nice to know that we are taking part in something together.
