30 day shred before C25K?

I finished day 11 of the 30 day shred today. I plan to start C25K after I complete the shred. I was wondering if anyone else has done this. Did it make C25K any easier? I did C25K 2 years ago, but quit running when I got pregnant 4 months later. It was tough, but I got through it. I was hoping that if I built up my strength with the shred first that running may be a little easier. It will also get me closer to spring before starting C25K. I can't really go outside and run because of the snow and ice we get around here. I will start on the treadmill and move outside once the weather breaks.

I was thinking of doing weeks 1-3 just one time then repeating the rest for two weeks. My goal is to run the local 5K on Memorial Day weekend. I think on off days I will continue the shred and I'm thinking of buying some of Jillian Michaels' other workout videos to alternate so I don't get so bored.

Any input would be great!
