Best pre-pregnancy books you have read?

Me and my hubby are planning on attempting to start trying for a bebe in the next 3 months or so and I was wondering what pre-pregnancy books people have read that they can recommend and what they liked about that specific book.

I went out today and bought “What to Expect Before You’re Expecting” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and then went and read the reviews for each book and they are horrible (yes, I know I should have read the reviews FIRST!).

I will read both of these books, but wanted to know what else is out there.

I know there is the internet, but I wanted and actual book and only one book with all information in one place and not people’s opinions, etc.

This would be our first, so I know nothing!

Thanks everyone!

I imagine the best answer is Kama Sutra but I have no intention of having children anytime soon so I'm not the best person to ask.

Everything there is to know. Diet, tips, what to expect, what your body goes through, etc.

I'm not entirely sure you can get everything you want to know from any amount of books and even if you could, your body will surprise you.

I've had four successful pregnancies and each one was different. I gained different amounts of weight with each one, diet was different from each one, and my body reacted differently each time. If you're serious, I can tell you that it's best to start saving money right now for all the diapers, formula, clothes, paraphernalia you will eventually need to buy. Be prepared to expect less sleep, it's not always certain but it's very probable you'll lose vast amounts of sleep. Be prepared to feel tired most of the time, exhausted in fact. Babies thrive off of attention and you are programmed to give it to them. I never read a single baby book other than skimming one book for baby name ideas to which was not helpful in the end. The best advice can be sought from other mothers, your own mother, grandmother, doctor, etc. (in my opinion at least) I would suggest that as more specific questions arise, you ask those but in general, just relax.

I'd recommend this list of books on pregnancy.
