reduce carb breakfast

ok so thankfully a few people on another thread have reviewed my diary for me and one of the suggestions is to reduce my carbs, i can easily cut out my potato for dinner but i normally have english muffins for breakfast so i'm looking to substitued something here.
currently i'm 81kg would like to get to 70 ish and i measure all of my meals, log accurrately and don't eat anything fast food or deep fried.
so if anyone has suggestions i'd greatly appreciated it
also feel free to make other suggesttions on my diary its public i'm having trouble understanding how someboday who eats like i do weighs as much as i do without any changes on the scales or measurements

I think your carbs look good however if you want to cut them down, try just eating half of the english muffin. Other than that, I thought your diary was a good.0

thanks i'm just having trouble trying to figure out why i've been at this three weeks and seen no change in my measurements or weight,
i excercise and i eat back those calories so i figured i'd play around with the food and see what i can do there, i mean i don't think i got up to 81kg by eating too many carbs, think if was the afternoon sweets and takeaway blowouts but these are now gone just trying to get some results0 -

I had bacon, egg spinach and mushrooms for breakfast and it was only 3g of carb and only 191 cals0 -
Yeah sugars can be bad. I try to stay away from them but I have a few sweets every now and then. I hope it works for you. I have been around the same for a couple of weeks as well but that has to do with me adjusting to a higher calorie intake. My body is still adjusting.0

tiy weight control oatmeal or less sugar found that it was more filling or try whole grain egg muffin if you must have bread. breakfast doesn't have to be the same old thing eat dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner really works out give it a try and good luck0

If you mean that you eat your daily calories AND the calories you get from exercising that could be a reason you aren't losing. You want a deficit in your calories in vs your calories out, so eating the calories you burn is like not burning them at all. If that's what you meant by that, I could be totally wrong
Some carb cutting things I could suggest .. like mentioned above, eat only half of the carb. Spaghetti squash is a good 'replacement' for regular spaghetti if you saute up your own topping of veggies & tomatoes. However, according to the stats you are within your carb 'bank' so to speak, maybe your body is just used to that english muffin every morning or potato every night. Try to mix it up a bit maybe.

well the only sugar i have at the moment is from fruit and raw honey so i always am going over my sugar at the moment but i figured that there the 'good' sugars not really missing the sweets too much. i just figured i get some weightloss at the beginning guess i'm not that lucky, i wondering if maybe i need to eat more calories, maybe i miscalculating how many calories i actually burn during the day.0

You want a deficit in your calories in vs your calories out, so eating the calories you burn is like not burning them at all. If that's what you meant by that, I could be totally wrong
Not true... MFP sets a 500 calorie deficit per 1lb/week weight loss, so if you don't eat your excercise back you will be giving yourself an even bigger deficit which would cause a really low NET calorie, and lead to a possible starvation mode. I've always eaten mine back and have lost almost 45lbs so far.0 -

that was my understanding too, i try to net 1200 calories, so if i exercise that day and burn off 350 calories i have and extra 350 calories for food, but maybe i should mix up my food so my body doesn't get too bored with the same thing every day it does look rather routine when i look back on it.

I started at a similar weight to you (82.6kg) and have a goal weight of 70kg too. I started 6 weeks ago on the 10th of Dec and so far have lost 6.8kg. I don't know how tall you are (I'm 175cm) but I found that I wasn't losing on 1200 a day so I upped it to 1500 a day. I eat back some of my exercise calories (If I'm hungry I eat, if not, I don't) and since then my weight loss has been much better. Feel free to check out my diary or add me as a friend.0

I'm 168cm, you might have something there with upping the calories, i found before i started this and i ate whatever i wanted i actually dropped a kg without even trying, so i might try that of course this time i'll eat healthier food than the burger at hj's to do it0
