i've been trying to lose weight for the past year, and my biggest issue is inconsistancy. one week i do well, the next week, it's like "healthy, who? me?" well, needless to say, that doesn't make for a good "life-style change". anyway, after gaining three lbs. last week, i decided to set small goals for myself. this week, my goal is to stay away from en-riched wheat: that's the pasta's, the rice and pretty much everything in my diet. i'm not doing this to completely eliminate that from my diet, i need to 1. have more self-control, and 2. to prove to myself that i can consistently make small changes. if anyone else is setting small goals, share it. see how it helps.

I agree with the pasta... stay away from that stuff as well as the bread. But the rice.... brown rice is an awesome slow digesting carb that should be in anybody's weight loss diet0
