MFP settings too low?

I'm curious why MFP would recommend my calorie allotment be 1200 per day, then when I complete my entries for the day (yes I eat my exercise calories) a blurb appears saying that I am not eating enough calories...

My goal is to drop these last 10 pounds and after being on maintenance for the last few months I have recently changed to lower calories.

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this? Thanks!

Make sure you're looking at your net calories. You shouldn't net below 1200. If you burn 500, you should eat no lower than 1700.

My reccommended is 1200, and I noticed this too. I think it's because the system is made that no one should eat below 1200, so even if you get close, it'll set it off. I see it as this-one day I may go over 50 give or take, the next I may go under give or take. Just make sure you're eating enough!

If you eat 1199, it will tell you you're eating too few. Are you talking about days you don't exercise though? I'm just confused because you said you always eat back your exercise calories, meaning that it should be impossible for you to eat less than 1200 on those days.
