Having a "why am I bothering" moment

I am really, really discouraged today. My eating habits have improved tenfold, and I lost 2.5lbs the first week. (I am down 11lbs from HW, not from joining MFP.) 10 days later I am UP 2.5lbs. I thought it was because I weighed myself on a different scale (my friend's scale vs. my mom's) but I weighed myself at my mom's and was still up 2.5lbs. It was much later in the day this time, but I don't know how much of a difference that makes. Either way, I am frustrated. I have seen diaries on MFP filled with junky foods, but the person seems to be losing every week. I have been living on veggies, fruits, nut butters, beans, whole grains, and a bit of lean meat. Most of my meals have been meatless. I have cut back DRASTICALLY on alcohol. I've had two crappy days in the last week where I've gone over (last Friday I just blew it out of the water, last night I drank too much wine and ate Entenmann's cheese danish), the rest of the time I'm either at or below my goal for the day, minus my first couple of days of tracking. I don't get it.
I've put in work as exercise a few times because I feel like it goes above what I would consider "lightly active," but maybe I need to stop that and just stick to my regular goal. Normally if I sweat, I log it, but I'm wondering if that's the wrong way to determine if something is normal activity or something that's getting my heart rate up. I have been having health issues and just haven't been feeling well enough to get a lot of exercise. I can't do high-impact because my RA flares when I do.
I am just feeling really down right now.
