This round goes to me!! TAKE THAT SCALE!!!!

I have been at the dreaded weight loss plateau for the last three weeks... after 22 lbs of weight loss and going from a 14 to a 10; I am freaking STUCK at 160 lbs.. sigh... I know this will change.

I have really concentrated on my strength training 2x week and trying to get at least three days of cardio in 3x week and continue to be really aware of my diet...I know this is somewhat normal but still...BLEAH!!!!Annoying! Irritating! Bothersome!

I wont let this get me down! I am on a mission to good health!

But you all know in the back of my head...that STUPID little voice..."maybe this is as good as it get, your 45 and happily married, who are trying to impress? " blah blah blah

And then I began to notice...those size 10s... they don't fit right anymore.... my winter coat is letting in the chill because it is not snug around my hips. And then it hit me

I am no longer just losing weight... I am reshaping my body! I know your all thinking, does this woman need help getting dressed in the morning? :) Naw, i'm good it is just such a happy ( to m anyway) realization! The scale kiss my butt! I am STILL getting things done! I am still getting into shape. Weight is only part of the equation!

So I am sort of OK with my temporary plateau, I know it will pass and in the mean time I have other measurements that I am just enjoying the heck out of.

yay for me!! Yay for all of you! and pppppbbbbbbbbbbrttttttt to my scale for now!

I concur. Who needs the number on the scale to tell you how great you feel?
  • Congratulations! So happy you are seeing your own progress!! Keep it up! I sometimes think the same way, as I am 43 with two kids, and think " I'm an old woman, if they don't like me the way I am, it's too late to worry about it!" But I love the added self esteem I get from seeing my personal improvement. Enjoy your achievement!

It's a stall and not a plateau, but reshaping your body is a good thing.
