I am not sure if this is the place to post this or not, but how much protein should you be getting on a typical day?

I've always heard 1 gram per pound of bodyweight. But if that's too much, at least 150 grams-and 175 on the days you do strength training. (:0

The best thing to do is consult a nutrionist. Discuss your goals and he/she will determine how much protein you need for the body you're trying to achieve.0

This, especially if you are doing any resistance training.0 -
I try to look at my food diary and keep a check on it there, since I'm not trying to build muscle right now. I try to get as much as the goal set for me in my food diary. I think they are set with the FDA requirements, which could and could not be correct. I eat 95% Vegan diet so I have to keep an eye on my protein intake and B12. But from studying health and ultimate nutrition I've been reading that we don't need as much protein as we think or was thought.0
