So how long will it take to lose it all?

Everyone is different, I know that, but I'm just looking for some guidance. I don't have much experience in dieting and just started tracking calories. I'm 5'7", 144 pounds and my goal is 130, so 14 pounds. When I signed up on MFP I entered that I want to lose one pound per week. I've read some things about plateaus and set backs too. If I keep on track with working out and eating, what's your best guesstimate?

I started at 142 with a goal of 130 and it took me about 4 months set at half a pound a week. But I'm also two inches shorter than you.

completely estimating right now, but I know that the closer you are to your goal weight the longer it takes to lose the weight. I would say like 2-3 months maybe if your diligent....I recommend clean eating. I drop weight much faster when I'm not overloading on processed foods and heavy simple carbs like pasta and bread. I am much heavier than you but I eat primarily meat and veggies, and fruits and with little exercise other than being on my feet all day and I lose about 10 lbs a month

At 144 with just 14 lb to lose to reach your goal a slow approach is best, look to lose 1lb a week at the very most, you'll have less problems if you am for 1/2 a week. so 14-28 weeks would be a simple realistic approach that would help you avoid plateaus.

You can eat 'clean' if you want to and that's a lifestyle you feel you'd like to stick with long term, but most people don't have to. I ate (and continue to eat) carbs of every color, sugars, processed foods, alcohol, etc in moderation while making sure I was meeting my net calorie goal (over the course of a week, usually) and my macronutrient goals (especially adequate protein).

Yeah, I'm not sure about eating 'clean' all of the time. I love the basics - meat and veggies - but looking at my food diary there's plenty of sugar and processed foods. Like I said, I just got started so I'm taking it one day at a time. After I have a few weeks under my belt maybe I'll have a better sense of how my weekly calories will go.
