Does Anyone Know Why After I Exercise & I Have Sweated Loads

Does anyone know why after I exercise and I have sweated loads that I get really cold? I am drinking plenty of water before during and after exercise. It is only ever when I really work out and sweat - normally I barely sweat but I've been pushing myself this week really hard and I'm so proud of myself for it and I have been dripping. (Not a nice pic I know lol) About 20 minutes afterwards I start to cold and then I am really cold for hours and hours - I like to exercise at night and I'm normally a hot person (and like to have a fan on) but I've been so cold that afterwards I have the quilt wrapped around me and I now sleep with a jumper on.
Anyone got any idea's? Does this happen to them?
Because now I have a cold lol.
Thanks in advance.

Its sounds like a neurological reflex, probably some along the vasovagal reflex type.
A little explanation of this:
Ever hear of people fainting at the sight of needles or after seeing blood? These are vasovagal reflexes in blood pressure where the sight of the given objects actually triggers a severe drop in blood pressure to the point these people black out if they're standing up. Its usually accompanied by a "cold sweat" and racing heart along with a light headiness before the black out.
These type of vasovagal can occur with anything.
Therefore, I am thinking that after you have got a vigorous workout in with the sweat, heat, increased heart rate and blood pressure that you trigger a vasovagal reflex on the cool down which isn't as severe as the given examples above, but ultimately results in the lowering of your internal thermostat.
Just an educated guess though.0 -
Your body sweats to cool its self off, once you are cooled, that cold sweat is still on your body so you are cold. Shower fixes this.0

This happens to me AFTER i have a shower, its not from letting the sweat dry on me, i workout then shower immediately after...0 -

No it is not still on my body and a shower does not fix it at all - your lucky where you obviousley don't have this problem because right now I am freezing cold with quilt wrapped around me and heater on full - after a shower!0 -
Just a thought, but how much are you hydrating before, during, and after your workout? Often people
who are getting dehydrated tend to be cold, showing goose bumps, and shaking a bit. Maybe you aren't
getting enough liquid into your body. I am a coach and have had a few of my athletes show these signs.
Try drinking a big more, especially after.0
