You're supposed to eat the extra calories you gain from exercise, so that your net matches your goal.

    Example:

My goal is 1200, I exercise and gain 150 calories, so I need to consume 1350 calories to meet the goal. This just motivates me to exercise so I can eat a little more

What if the amount of calories you are suppose to eat a day leaves you satisfied and you don't eat the calories you've burned, or maybe even have some leftover for the day as well? I've had a couple days like that already. Or is it more likely that when you exercise you're just going to BE more hungry so then you should just auto use those calories?

Apparently it will cause a plateau eventually because your body needs the net amount of calories just to run the normal body funtions. I lost 39lbs without eating them back and hit a plateau, now I've gained 9lbs back and decided that this time I'm going to eat them back and see if I get to my goal (I was 9lbs away from goal when I hit that plateau, then I went up to 18lbs to go).
