I am on my 3rd day. My calorie goal is supposed to be 1200 calories. When I log exercise, it is added to my calorie goal. That is confusing to me. I wonder if there is a setting that would reflect the real number of calories I need to eat to lose weight.

Totals 968 103 33 48 20 28
Your Daily Goal 1,835 252 61 68 21 37
Remaining 867 149 28 20 1 9
Calories Carbs Fat Protein Fiber Sugar

*You've earned 635 extra calories from exercise today

The calorie intake is a "Gross" number with the assumption that you do zero exercise.
Once you exercise a little bit, then you are burning calories and therefore, your intake is allowed to go up.
For example, you are saying that you are allowed 1200 calories.
That is 1200 calories without you ever moving from the couch at all.
But, if you do some kind of exercise that burns 100 calories, then 1200 + 100 (that you burned) gives you 1300 calories you are allowed to take in.
If you dont mind me asking... 1200 calories is not very much.
How much weight and how quickly are you trying to drop the pounds?

Your weight loss is already factored into your NET calorie goal of 1200 per day. That meals you are supposed to eat back most, if not all, of your calories burned to achieve weight loss at a healthy rate. So if you have 1200 calories for the day and you burn 635 from exercise... you should be eating roughly 1835 calories for the day.
