Have been on WW since 2003. Lost 50 lbs there but gained most of it back because I stopped tracking. I kept my original membership just in case and I see now it costs 4.00 more a month than I am paying because I never stopped paying. Anyhow, saw this site on one of the WW message sites and thought I would give it a try. Seems like the food data bases are easier to use and, wow, it even has spell check! If this works I may actually stop paying WW. So, hello everyone. Glad to meet you.

As a past weight watcher myself, I would say give it up. This site is free, the calories values work as long as you track what you are eating. Make some friends here to support you and there is nothing that weight watchers gives you that isn't available here for free.
Unless you don't have a scale.0 -
Thanks gregavila for replying. I will try this for a while and if it works I will loose that monthly fee. I have not yet tried to enter a meal like a recipe that has multiple items and you only eat part of it so need to see how that works. Is there a recipe builder?0

Also is there a way to track your posts so you can see replies without searching through pages of posts?0

I did WW about 11 years ago and lost 42 pounds. After having my boys I then gained it all back. I tried WW online, but didn't lose it. I think this plan is better myself. It is free, easy to use, links to my smart phone and it seems more supportive to me with all the friends.
Feel free to friend me and we can support and encourage each other.0 -
I also did WW, and I say why pay. You have everything you need here. I get way more support here then I ever got there. I either track points with WW, or track calories here, which is far more accurate! Welcome, Good luck, and feel free to add me if you'd like!0

Thanks pspetralia. I have only done the online version as I was never a meeting person. Not clear re: friending and what is involved with all that as I have resisted facebook and twitter etc. If you friend someone then do you just email back and forth on your own?0

Duh. If it was a snake it would have bit me. Now I see My Topics and Recent Posts at the top. Always a learning curve! That's what makes it interesting.0

Thanks so much. Everyone seems very supportive. I will get it as I go along. I just figured out the quote thing. That's pretty helpful :flowerforyou:0
