Hey there! I'm new to this. I joined about a week ago (tomorrow). I've been diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I joined here so I could start eating healthier and losing weight. So far, since about January 4th I've lost 5 pounds I'm really excited about this! Anywho, I wanted to just, introduce myself and make some friends on here I believe that any support is lovely! I'd love support from people, and I would love to support others! My goal is to lose about 40 pounds (no time period) for now. What's yours?

Hi! My name is Pattiwack55. I learned about this group through a TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group. So I decided to give it a try! My current goal is 340 pounds. I have 5 months to try to drop it because of a special occasion that is coming up June 15th.
I lost 9 pounds. I don't like to exercise much because I am handicapped thanks to a relaxing exercise called Tai Chi, a class that I took at the Y in 2002. I totally destroyed my knees. So along with the weight I am carrying, I walk with a cane.
It's not much of a loss, but the plan is to drop it and go on to the next incriment of weight loss..whether 1, 2 or more weight would be nice. The only exercise I seem to get is alittle walking & working my arms and legs with the 5 pound kettlebell.
I am learning to eat again with proper portions and consuming foods that are slow carbs and know the difference between fast carbs ..I wnat to succeed in my weight loss journey, so by June 15th, I won't have to worry if I can fit in those pair of pants and a 3x top..I will just look good!
I don't want extra problems with type 2 diabetes, and kidney problems (at stage 3 for renal disease) and with the weight off, I can buy clothes off the rack, exercise like I used to, maybe get new knees, and get OFF all the medication I am on for high blood pressure..that is my goal!0
