Tired after 2 ab exercises? Is this normal?!

Hey everyone,

So my fitness question is - is it normal to REALLY feel the burn when you're doing your ab exercises? Whenever I am doing circuit training that targets the abs or even yoga that focuses on the abdominals, this is my hardest area - I get easily tired and literally feel like I am going to die after working the lower abs. I can barely get through 5 reps. Is this normal? Should I push through it? What do I do?

Most of my weight is carried in my midsection - so it's REALLY hard for me to do them! please help!

    Options
    It just means you have weak core. Start by doing abs while standing or full body exercises like dead lifts. It would be easier to build them up this way, without giving up. Or, grab a heavy weight, pull in your abs, and twist from side to side without moving your lower body. Try doing some pilates,, it strengthens your core very well. Without a strong core, you may have back pain in the future, so do your best even if it's only a few reps and don't give up.
