Sorry....i'm new here. I see a lot of people talking about their HRM. Thats a heart rate monitor, right? I use a watch one, but it doesn't count my calories...can anyone recommend a good one (thats not too expensive)?
just wondering: Why is a HRM more accurate than the exercise machine calorie counter and MFP?

I have a Polar FT4, I bought it from Heart Rate Monitor.com and it was on sale. It comes with a chest strap and they do have some without the strap. It keeps pretty good count of my workouts and lets me know if I am working withing my Zone.
As for the machines at gyms or the counts you get from this site some are high.....a HRM in my opion is more accurate, check out the site and look them over. You can also go to Walmart, Target or any Sports store.....

I have a Polar FT4 too. I love it. YouTube has great videos that makes it simple to use. I think it was $80ish at ****s. I can't even tell I'm wearing a chest strap.
