Ok, I am new here(only 2nd week) and I have a question? First off I will say I am ADDICTED to fast food, I know GROSS! My question is I have been under my calories, fat, carbs for 14days in a row but I am still finding ways to eat some fast food. It is WAY less than before I started but I am wondering if I will still lose weight eating fast food. I am just making better choices like grilled chicken and salads vs burgers and fries. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

You can still eat fast food in moderation, I just might not make it a daily thing. Once or twice a week is what I would try to stick to. If it's something you enjoy, eat it, just try not to overdo it.

    Echoing the above.

Fast food isn't the devil, no matter what people on here will tell you. It's OK as a sometimes food. If you're eating it every day work at cutting down. Maybe only every second day for a month or so. Then look to every third day. If you eat it every day and go cold turkey I'd be shocked if you didn't break.

    Small steps are best.
  • I am addicted to fast food too.. I will pick some up and not even really think about it until I get home.. way to go me!

sounds like you're doing just fine from the weight loss perspective - as long as you're counting ACCURATELY.

however, from a financial perspective, you may want to cut the habit. track your receipts for all food purchased at convenient stores, vending machines, restaurants, etc for a solid week and see how much you could have saved by kicking the habit. if that doesn't motivate you to change? then just keep making healthy choices and love your imperfections.

I packed my lunches for work and left my wallet at home. no $$ on me = no fast food! I still do it. I've gone from 4-5x a week to now 1-2x a month and healthier choices. no fries or soda. etc etc etc

i couldne live withou my weekly chinese, although granted i dont get, crispy beef, rice, noodles, chips, curry sauce AND chicken satay all in a oner any more, but still need my chinese fix, small chicken chow mein n curry sauce hits ma cravings

dont cut anything out you love.... chances are if you do youl cave in and eat it till you burst. so moderation... small doses... all that jazz :)

I am a fellow fast food lover. I still eat it every now and then but I try to limit it to once or twice a month now. And when I do eat it I get a much better choice. It definitely isn't the healthiest but not everything we eat has to be ... life is about moderation. As long as you stay within your calories you should still lose weight and hopefully you will find as you clean up your lifestyle you will eat less and less fast food. I know now when I do eat it I find my stomach will get upset later.

I love fast food too! If you are under on your numbers I think you are fine, you are doing it in moderation :) That is what I do also :) You are on the right track! You don't have to give up your favorites just modify them!

Focus on your calorie goal and cutting back on the fast food gradually. My personal experience has been that once I started eating more healthy foods I have stopped craving fast food most of the time. There are exceptions of course :) but I think everything can be done in moderation. You just need to learn to moderate.
