Digital vs dial scale

So I've been using a dial scale and it always seemed pretty accurate with both me and my husband when compared to the scales at the doctors' and the gym. I decided I wanted a nice digital scale and it arrived in the mail today. I unpacked it excitedly and it's beautiful! I was really pleased- until I actually stepped on it. It read 198.4 in HUGE numbers!! That's almost 10 lbs different than my dial scale! The reviews for it were amazing, so I'm super confused and totally sad if that's my real weight :'(

I got a digital scale for Christmas and was using a really old dial scale. There was about a 5 pound difference between the two, which totally sucked, but I just tried to not let it bother me!! Just stick with the digital scale from the number it gave you! Most scales are different....my dad has a couple and they all give me different weights haha
