Hi folks.
I've just been referred to the Oxford Weight-loss and Lifestyle Service (OWLS), and as part of the programme was asked if I'd like to take part in a study to determine the most effective exercise regime for those who are just starting a diet.
There is a non-exercise control group, a resistance group and a cardiovascular group of which I'm a part of.
This site and app was recommended by the person carrying out the research so here I am.
At three-hundred and fifty pounds my first aim is to break the 280lb barrier (as us Brits use stones and pounds and 280lbs is 20 stone) and after that to make 16 stone (224lbs) and see from there.
I saw a great post the other day from someone who has lost 100lbs in a year, and I found it extremely inspirational.
Anyway, looking forward to making new friends and to hopefully in turn be an inspiration to others.
