I am thinking about using a protein drink in place of breakfast because I don't always have time to fix breakfast. I want something I can just mix with water but tastes good. Wanting something I don't have to add fruit, crushed ice etc to. (I don't have a blender) Does this exist?

Someone gave me a sample pack of that new one that's out (can't remember the name, ive seen people on here promoting it, you join a website) I couldn't get past the taste or after taste.

I'm so very picky when it comes to protein drinks because most of them are quite foul and are an acquired taste. I've found the two that I can stand the most (of all dozen+ brands I've tried) are EAS chocolate whey protein, and ProteinPlus by PowerBar. I mix it with milk instead of water, for the added protein, a bit more substance, and of course the fact that milk makes it tastes better lol

Those are the ones that worked for me, but I would suggest going to a health store or something to see if you can find any sampler packs and pick the one you like most, instead of wasting a ridiculous amount of money on a bulk selection.

If you're not much for those types of protein drinks and are looking for something more tasty, maybe opt for a slimfast or adkins shake or something... I hear those are a bit tastier than usual protein mixes.

I like Oh Yeah for premixed protien drinks and nectar for powder. I mix the nectar with milk or water. Depends on what I have and which flavor I'm using. It comes in choc and vanilla which I mix with milk and fruit favors (think crystal light) which I mix with water.
  • I LOVE Jay Robb Chocolate. NO SUGAR and 25 grams of protein. I mix it with skim milk, put it in the freezer for about 20 mins. and it is smooth. Doesn't have that grainy, icky protein smell. I bought a blender bottle because I'm too lazy to pull out my heavy blender. Works great. You can find those at WM or anywhere really. It comes with a metal ball in it that mixes it well. GNC sells Jay Robb and I bought a sample pack at Whole Foods to try out first.

There are some really gross ones. Takes a bit to find a good one.

I like Premier Nutrition (can be hard to find but I heard Costco has them now) and EAS CarbVantage for the ready to drink. A few of the Atkins flavors aren't bad, some are really bad, The Cafe Carmel is the best of them.

I buy some powdered off the net by Wonderslim. They are pretty tasty and come in a lot of flavors so I don't get burned out by just chocolate. I put them in 10oz (directions have 8oz but way to thick for me that way) of water with an ice cube and shake really good in my blender bottle.

Of the above, Premier is the best. Tastes really good. Wish I could still get them where I live.
