logging general calisthenics

Logging general calisthenics exercises on here is kind of a pain. For example: In my workout today, I did one set of 10 reps in a series of different crunch/sit-up positions. Scissor kicks, back-ups, bicycles... I've just been entering the number of sets for general sit-ups, assuming they have the same general impact, but even then, it doesn't figure into your calorie burn. I've started not logging that stuff at all anymore. Just looking for comparisons, how are y'all handling logging the non-cardio exercises?

If you want to get an estimation of calorie burn, you have to enter it under the 'cardiovascular' category. MFP doesn't try to estimate calories for anything in the 'strength' category. If you go under 'cardiovascular' and search 'calisthenics' it is actually listed there, where you can type in the amount of time you spent doing 'calisthenics' (either vigorous or light/moderate effort) and it will give you a rough calorie estimation. Plus it's faster than listing everything individually. Although you could still list each individual item under the strength category or in the notes if you want to track progress in specific exercises. :-)

Well that certainly does the trick! I don't know why i didn't search for it under cardiovascular... :)
