Is it possible?

Is it possible to somehow "gain" weight after being sore from your workout yesterday? Is it water weight? I'm just a little confused with my scale today (besides us having a love-hate relationship.... mostly hate)

yes..after you work major muscles, they draw fluid in to repair themselves.

As a woman...anything is possible. Anything! There are lots of explanations that people will offer up...water going to heal muscles, etc...but as these scale fluctuations don't tend to happen to men, just blame it on that second X chromosome. One day you'll sit around watching movies and the next day, the scale will say you lost 2 pounds.

Face it. There is no predictable explanation. It will happen. And happen again.

So, just average weight loss over longer periods of time than one day. Otherwise, you will drive yourself crazy before this is over!

If I could see an explanation for half the reasons my scale is up, Id be soo happy lol. I know usually its up after sodium or around TOM but last week mine went up after I killed myself doing kickboxing. But 2 days later, it was back down to current plus 1.2lb more loss.

Very possible. My weight flucuates 1-5lbs throughout any given day. And I lose an average of 2lbs every night when I sleep. Go figure.

It's more than possible, it's probable! I never EVER have seen the scale go down the day after a hard workout, which is super duper discouraging.

However, one of my favorite ways to get my body moving without freaking my body out is a nice walk. Not a stroll, I mean a real 3-3.5mph walk for 45-60 minutes. It usually calms my muscles and I lose the next day instead of making me really sore and all.

Good luck to you and good for you for working out!!

Whenever i am sore after a exercise I try not to weigh myself until the soreness goes away.

I only weigh myself first thing in the morning before I eat or workout. I find it gives me the most accurate weight
