Hello folks, I started using this app on my phone and finally got around to checking the website :P

I grew up dancing about a hr a day and went back to school a few years ago and had to drop dance due to money issues and motorcycle accident issues. Anyhow, I was talking to a doctor friend of mine and when I told him my resting heart rate, he was shocked (over 100bpm). He told me to go to the doctor immediately and I told him I wanted to try exercising more first. I'm 5'7 so I can put on a fair bit of weight as a girl without anyone noticing it but I'm more concerned about my heart. Plus it doesn't feel good knowing a few years ago I was 120 pounds and now...I'm not. I started exercising and I could hit my peek heart rate walking slowly uphill (189bpm). I started doing this regularly and it dropped considerably (rest is about 80-90 now). Anyhow, I'd rather exercise more and hope that my heart rate continues to drop because I doubt I'll figure out why it's gotten so high and would prefer to stay away from doctors and meds. I'd love to meet some friends that I could keep motivated and would help me motivated to move! Goodluck everyone.
