Hi! I am two days into this website and two days into my diet.

I can't honestly say that I'm doing all that well (going over 200-400 on my 1200 diet) but I'm trying hard and I'm really excited!

I think this website is a great idea: it's easy to track calories and be aware of how many calories are in our favorite foods.

I do really well at work all day but I overindulge when I get home. What are everyone's secrets to avoid binging when they get home?

Thanks!

...Mine is to eat LOTS of little snacks at work (apples, celery and peanut butter, mixed nuts and cheese sticks), so I am not starving when I get home. And, I try to eat when I am hungry ONLY. It's easier said than done, I know. And sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail. Nobody's perfect.

    Welcome to the site:drinker:

:flowerforyou: Hi Amelia and Welcome. I started a group under Motivation and Support. Would love for you to come and be a part of the group.

One thing you need to do is drink lots of water, carry a bottle with you and keep it on hand at all times. Also sometimes I will make me a goodie bag, with veggies (carrot, celery sticks, green peppers, string cheese), an apple or orange, granola bar and take it along with me as a snack between meals. You could put it in an insulated bag and have it when you are leaving work to tied you over til you can make your dinner at home. Preparation is key here, and planning ahead will save you in the long run.

Make sure you are eating foods high in fiber as that will make you fill full longer and turn off those hunger cravings. Try to find exercise that you enjoy. Exercise actually helps to curb appetite as well, try walking before dinner, doing aerobics, yoga, to name a few. Chew Extra Gum, the flavor last long and is only 5 calories a stick. These are just some of the things I share within the group. Hope you'll visit "Let's Get Real" and together we'll lose weight and gain friends.
    Debbie
