last night, i asked if anyone had mixed coffee and instant breakfast.
well, i made it this morning and it's good!

basically, i made my coffee like normal (1 cup with 1 tbsp sugar free creamer, some no-cal sweetner) and then mixed in a packet of no sugar added instant breakfast. it's pretty good! i can taste the chocolate flavor of the I.B., not sure if i like the chocolate mixed with the columbian, btu i can play around with it.

so basically, it came out to about 75 calories total! so i had some waffles, too :)
hopefully i wont be starving by 10:00 like i usually am (with my eggs, veg sausage, and toast breakfast..)

Well, I wouldn't expect a ton of carbohydrates without any fat or protein to keep me full until 10:00 a.m. Fat and protein promote satiety, and carbohydrates don't really do that. The eggs, sausage, and toast is a much more nutritionally sound breakfast. If you're starving a few hours later, a) it's fairly normal to get hungry every few hours and b) eat a bigger breakfast.

I'm glad you enjoyed your breakfast! Try to keep in mind that if you combine a carb with a protein it will keep your blood sugar steady and you won't get hungry so quickly (you should actually eat a carb with a protein at every meal, hopefully 5-6 small meals per day). For example, 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg mixed with some veggies and a piece of w.w. toast with natural peanut butter. A recipe I've made for the last couple of days is Protein pancakes. 1/3 C Old-fashioned oatmeal, 4 egg whites, 1 tbsp natural peanut butter, 1 tsp cinnamon. Mix ingredients. Spray pan and pour mixed ingredients. Flip (like pancakes) add some sugar free syrup and eat! It's huge, filling, and good for you. Have a great day!

another coffee mixture of my favorite is some chocolate protein powder in my coffee along with a few sweet & lows. it tastes like a mocha! I usually have it with a piece of peanut butter and jelly toast. It's an easy way to get some protein in... I'm usually under on my goal.

    thanks for the breakfast suggestions!
since it was so low cal (only 90!), i can add in some protein and such.

mmm... glad you tried it... now I'm gonna give it a go! What kind of instant breakfast did you use? I have the carnation instant breakfast with fiber - chocolate flavor.

Anything that tastes good with coffee is worth a try for me!! :flowerforyou: Love me some coffee...

i used no sugar added chocolate.
i think im going to try vanilla or something next time, since the chocolate flavor was kind of funny to me?

still good, and worth it, though!
