Wanted: Friends and Advice

Hi. I am a complete newby to this (MFP). Just joined last night. I have been on just about every diet going through out my life, just to keep myself relatively slim. How ever just over 3 years ago I gave up smoking and I haven't touched one since, which I am extremely proud of. Unfortunately since then the weigh has slowly crept on and I am now 2 and a half stone more than I was. I would like to make some dieting friends, who can encourage me and also give advice on recipes and how to get the most from this site. I like cooking but don't always have the time and take aways can NO longer be an option.
I have lost 3 pounds so far in the space of 2 weeks, so I am off the starting block, but I think that MFP will help even more as I can keep a more accurate track on my intake. I would love some accurate recipes that will make dieting more enjoyable and meals more fun.
