please take a look at my profile numbers. I wonder, if I have set my goal at too much, since I am only allowed 1230 calories. I need to lose about 15 lbs. I just read a post where someone who had to lose 20 lbs wasnt eating enough to lose, and everyone said she needed to up her cals to around 1400 a day?

It depends on what your BMR is, you can find out approximately what that is by going into "Tools".

The person you are speaking about may have a lot more to lose than you and may be allowed more calories per day because of that.

I am on 1200 calories per day, been here for three weeks now and have lost weight. Believe me, it is definitely possible on 1200 calories per day.

I have alot more than 15 pounds to lose, but I had to raise mine when I hit a platue. I tried everything elese and thats what worked for me. I have actually raised it twice. I went from 1200 to 1470 and lost.
