I have been diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis and am wondering if anyone could suggest a good Pilates DVD. I heard of Winsor Pilates and am wondering if it is the best for beginners? I am looking for something effective that offers both pilates and cardio. Has anyone tried it? From what I understand Pilates strengthens your back and that is what I need. Any help will be appreciated.

Winsor is your best bet if you want to incorporate cardo-- it's the only one I've tried that does. I have lupus (joint problems) and I can do Winsor, especially with the modifications, but I have gotten to where it doesn't do much for my body since it's the same 20 min routine every day. Maybe they have other DVDs with more variety, I just tried the first one.

Personally I love the 10 minute solutions dvds. The one I use is 50 minutes total, but you can mix and match the segments to fit your schedule if you don't have that long to work out. Also, I would highly suggest that you attend a pilates class before going into the videos. That way you can learn how to be holding your abs, and the proper way to do the movements where they will most benefit you and cause the least amount of pain to your back.
