Hi all,

I'm a mom of three grown children who's about 45lbs overweight. I'm all signed up and ready to go. Today I tracked all my food intake and found I am low on the Carb category and high on the fat category. Does anyone have any suggestions for healthy carbs? I generally love carbs so I want to be very careful and choose ones that are good for me and will help in my weigh loss goals? Also, any suggestions for my first week.....I'm pretty nervous.

Your best carb options come from mother natures ( ie whole fruits and veggies) If you choose potatos go for sweet, red, or the purple potatos ( they are purple all the way through) I have given up most grains ( soy, corn, wheat etc) due to my asthma. These are infmammatory foods for me and a lot of people.

Choose fresh fruits and veggies. Avoid the white foods, such as, sugar, flour, white bread, white potatoes... Just keep logging your food intake and you'll learn a lot from that. Feel free to add me if you wish.
