I've worked out for about 30-40 minutes a day for the past two and a half weeks, today I worked out for an hour because I've gained weight since last week. If I work out for an hour a day for like the next 3 or 4 days, will my body need to work out that long to lose the weight, or will I be able to go back down to 30-40 minutes, and still lose weight?

Ultimately, as long as you have a calorie deficit each day you will lose weight, regardless of the amount of time you exercise.0

As long as you're creating a caloric deficit daily you should see a good weight drop! just watch your diet closely.0

Could be one of several reasons. Water weight - if you go up and down with your menstrual cycle. Eating too many calories - I don't necessarily eat the calories I've "earned" with exercise. I stick to the 1200 per day - unless I find I am really hungry. If you are adding in (and eating) the exercise calories - find the most accurate calorie count you can - maybe you are adding in too many calories. And finally, really look at portions - weigh and measure everything - including any cheats!
Drink plenty of water too. If your muscles are tight and sore, they are holding onto lactic acid (and maybe some water).
I loose inches before I really loose any weight. I was at 175 for over six months but still went down from a size 16 to a size 12.
It can be frustrating, but I try and look at the whole picture of better health!
Hope this helps! Keep going!0 -
I know it's only been two and half weeks but bear in mind muscle will weigh more than fat so though more you work out the more fat you will convert to muscle and ultimately your "weight" will not decrease (this may be quite some time away depending on you're current weight),
I'd strongly recommend taking measurements such as waist, stomach, hips and boobs to see if you're slimming. Then you can assess whether the extra 20-30 mins of exercise is worth it.0 -
from looking at yur diary it might definitely be water retention cuz it seems like yur food choices are fairly high in sodium0
