Clean Lettuce!

I was wondering if anyone else is as fussy as I am about their lettuce?
I just cleaned a bunch and put it in the spinner, and I realized how much I throw in my compost.
I rip off the stalk part, and I rip off the very edges of the leafy part. If I see any bruises at all, I dig them out too!
Am I the only one, or are any others as picky as that! I have my own vegetable garden in the summer, and I'm just as picky with my vegetables, too! Any brown spots and out they go!!

I'm pretty picky, too. "When in doubt, throw it out" is my motto.
I will cut around brown spots or blemishes on my lettuce or other veggies and fruits if possible.0 -
I'm really bad with Romaine, I cut half off until the bitterness is gone. I hate bitter lettuce.0
