Your scale and...Company? Family House? Restaraunts?

Do you use your scale all the time. I wanted to use it the other day but we had company over and I left it in the cabinet. I have seen the ,mini scales. Is it over board to take one to a restaraunt or when you family has a get together? I am bad still at guessing weights and portions.

    I think as long as you are not out in company or at a restaurant more than once or twice a week, guesstimating a portion size in these instances should be fine. But you should use your scales at home as much as you can.
