25lbs...in 3 weeks

Well family, its over. At least for Round 1....This has been a very challenging Daniel Fast and my first that I've completed in its entirety. After 21 Days, I'm proud to announce that I've lost 25 lbs in 3 weeks, in 21 Days. That's over a pound a day. This week alone I lost 13 lbs. My mission is to lost 128 lbs in 6 months. I pray I can lost 30 to close out January. Before I go into how I may have done it, I want to thank a few people.

1) GOD... It's only been his will that I've been able to carry on. It's been many a nights and I'm talking MANY that I fell weak, that temptations of wanting that Pop, that Black n Mild, that Arnold Palmer Sweet Tea...but I pressed on. All I can say is TAKBIR!!!! .

The 2nd I want to thank is my wife Lametrius. My Bestfriend, My workout Partner, My Soul Mate, My Strength. Without her, I would of gave up. Gave In. I wish everybody could have a wife like her, a partner like her, a friend like her. Only God is better #TAKBIR.

My 3rd Thanks goes to my Brother, my Twin Bashir. He gets on my last damn nerve but I'm so proud of him. He lost just as much weight as I did without even working out. He's so happy and i'm happy to see him happy. With all the stress and bull**** that goes on in his life, Its refreshing to see him focus on losing weight. Now he has the Weight Loss Bug, its nothing that can stop him. I want my old B Love back. That Middleton Bashir, that "B Amor En La Casa" Bashir back...he's coming back (in my Al Green Voice).

and my last Thank you goes to my TGS Weight Loss Challenge family. Special s/o to Creator Jolye Nixon. My close friend since 8 grade and my mentor. S/o to all my Season 4 of CAST: Reggie, Starla, Bashir, Jon, Odie, Lametrius, Lesley, Lamar, Jolye, Kevin, Tara B and Betty Boop. This $1300 is up for grabs and I want it bad. I wish all of you success. Don't give up, keep pushing. Now for what you want to here...

Below on this site you saw what I've digested in Week 1. Do that for 2 more weeks lol. A lot of the dinner photos are missing but every night we ate Black Beans over Brown Rice and a Chicken Morning Star Patty and a Salad. Another meal: Greens, Red Potatoes and a MS Chicken Patty. Another Black Eyes Peas Brown Rice and Veggie Beef Tips. If we didnt have Chicken Patty, we may use the cut up Roasted Red Potatoes as the meat, with Corn, or Broccoli, Salad with Banana Peppers. I must admit, we didn't eat enough. We could of eating a lot more so adjust as you feel. On this fast, you cannot eat white rice, Mash Potatoes, Mac n Cheese or anything that requires butter, milk or bleached products like White Flour, Rice, etc Some nights we are All Grain Pasta with a little Olive Oil, Salad and a Veggie Meat item. You have to be creative and every meals has to be thought out. The key to this Fast is Water. Jolye text me every day asking me how my water is going. You have to drink water, after water, after water. Even though most trainers, including mine will disagree with my next statement, we ate under 800-900 calories a day. Not good but hey, going forward, we will do better. Most of the days I can honestly say I was full constantly. I ate a lot of fruit for breakfast and as a first break snack. A banana, apple, fruit bowl or cup from the QT/Race Trac or a homemade fruit bowl with Apples, Grapes, strawberries, etc. So imagine, Fruit for breakfast (low cals) then for lunch I ate a salad and a MS Chicken Patty, Brown Rice (Bout 300 Cals) and Dinner Red Potatoes, Salad, Chicken Patty or Meat Item (Bout 500 Cals) that's almost 1000 cal. So yes we could of eaten more but we ate what we could. Healthy food isn't all, we had to get it in at the gym.

We has one of the best trainers in Atlanta, Andre Conan of Tight Body Fitness. We go to his boot camp classes every Tues, Thurs and Sat. 45-50min a class of pure sweating. We see the difference from when we backed out of camps for a few months. That will never happen again. Now on Monday, Wed and Fri's, we go to JUST FITNESS. There we stick to Cardio only...FOR NOW!...We try to or at least I do 45mins-60mins each session. I start on 8 Incline and speed at 3.6. Every 5-7 mins I go up on both. By the end, my goal for the day is to be at 4.0 speed and Incline at about 11-12. My mission is to burn 1000 or more a session. My thought is, if i can burn what I took in that day. I'm at 0 and If I burn more, I'm ahead of the game. Again, most trainers will disagree but its working for us. If I eat 800 Calories, I'm burning 1000 calories. We also do Slim n 6 some nights for an extra workout. Sometimes you can't make it to the gym or even boot camp so that dvd is very, very helpful to still get in a session. We try not to miss a workout. 4-5 days minimum a week. Start slow or start fast, but just start!!!!

I hope this was helpful. My intention isn't to boast, brag on what I've done this month. Hopefully some of you can read this and get motivated to lose. Being fat isn't a good look anymore. Its a sign of laziness. I've been fat for years and its time to try something new. Stay tune, I will post my journey each month. I appreciate those who's been positive in my life. Let's GROW
