Hello, my name is amanda and I am addicted to weighing myself. Now that this is out of the way... when do you weigh yourself? This morning first thing out of bed I was 145lbs. After 2.5 hrs of walking at 4 mph and 1% incline I was 142.6lbs. Man oh man do I wish I could conscionably count the weight coming off the treadmill... but I know that was partially from dehydration.

So when do you trust your scale?

Once a week, maximum. Sunday morning, before eating breakfast.

Here's the thing -- your scale is going to mess with your head and make your weight loss process sooo much harder than it has to be. Your weight will fluctuate, and sometimes, it's by a few pounds all within the same day. How do you feel when the scale says you "gained" a pound throughout the day? Like crap, right?

Eventually, feeling like crap will lead you to lose your motivation. You want to feel as GOOD about yourself as possible during this process; THAT will keep you motivated. Seriously, lock that scale away and step on it once a week at the most. You deserve to feel good about yourself; isn't that the reason you're making the necessary changes in the first place?

While seeing that I've gained a pound does suck, it doesn't get me down. I realize that throughout the day I'm taking in food and liquids and I expect to see a difference when I weigh myself before bed. I've lost 30lbs, I'm not stopping now LOL. I was just curious what people thought about post workout weights vs standard weights...
