Hi guys and girls,
I'm on a quest to introduce new foods into my diet. I'm a vegetarian so I'm particularly interested in any high protein food ideas you have.
My new fav this week is quinoa (sort of like rice/polenta). I've been cooking it and adding steamed vegies, 1T low fat natural yogurt, 1T low fat mayo, a dash of soy sauce and some curry powder for a bit of spice. Super easy lunch!!
Quinoa, cooked, 1 cup
Tesco - Mixed Veg ( Steamed ), 1 portion (135g)
Hellman's - Light Mayonnaise (1/2 the Fat & Calories of Regular Mayonnaise), 1 Tbsp (14g)
Hannaford All Purpose Soy Suace - Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp (15 mL)
Tesco Value - Low Fat Natural Yogurt, 100 g
322 calories 10 fat 17 protein 10 fibre
Would love to hear any other ideas for new foods to try!!
