    Yes.
I go to the grocery store twice a week. Once to buy our groceries for the next week, once for more fruit/veggies/milk.
I have dinner planned out a week in advance. Actually, I have breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks planned a week in advance me AND my husband. I don't like surprises, or frequent trips to the grocery store for last minute items.
  • I plan the day in advance and leave a buffer for one or two small extra's

When I go out to eat I usually check the restaurant's nutritional info on their website and have my order ready in advance and already logged into MFP. That way I'm not tempted to get extras.
  • I always plan our weekly meals. On Sundays I sit down with a cook book and a grocery list. Make our menu for the next 7 days. On sundays I make my lunches for the week too. Some get put in the freezer for later in the week. If I don't plan I'll eat bad and we'll go to restuants. So to stay out of restaurants and on track I plan & cook a lot!!!

Yes, every day if possible. Doesn't always mean it goes according to plan, but having a gameplan is a very important part of how I've been able to maintain my eating.

With a family of four on a budget and a newly health-conscious mother, yep. I plan! The plan can sometimes fall through when I forget or am too tired to cook one night, but I still plan because it saves me from having to think it through in the moment. I rarely have that "What am I going to have for dinner tonight?!" moment. More like, "What am I supposed to be making tonight?"

When I'm on a really good kick, I'll even batch cook on the weekends (...though I find that difficult now that I just want to play and hang out with my kids in the little time I have home with them, so Mr. Slow Cooker has become my best friend!). Planning keeps me out of the drive-thru lane 9 times out of 10.

EDIT: I plan a week in advance and I try to plan out my day in the morning so all the guesswork is gone there too. Things change throughout the day, so I know what wiggle room I have for swaps or special treats, if it's that kind of day.
