Need some Advice

I am completely happy that I have lost 16.8 lbs, however i am staying under my calorie goals, and working out for 55 minutes keeping my HR at or above 138, but it seems the last 2 weeks my weight loss has been very minimal and it is very depressing (Is this the Fat Sticking to the Bone?). I have adjusted my calorie intake to be much harsher the last few weeks, is there a chance that my body has adjusted to my eliptical workouts and needs to change.
I cant imagine working out for 55 minutes and average 738-768 calories a day loss and staying the same.
Do i need to stop that and start new exercies to trick my body? I am by no means severely overwithg but do weigh 218lbs and my goal is to be 200 and then start truly workign out hard to tone my body?
Personal Trainer seems to think it will start coming off but he believes in torturing your body and I dont like that approach.
Please give me some good suggestions as I can go tot he Gym with a new plan and start new.
