I've actually found many objects that can be used to get a good upper body workout (toddlers, used milk jugs filled with water, etc.). What I need are ideas for legs. I'm willing to get creative, but money is tight. Suggestions?

I use my 8-year-old. :) For your quads you need 50 or so pounds. Water weighs about 8.5 pounds (4kg). per galloin You'll need to figure out a way to hold 6 jugs full.

Squats and lunges are excellent and use your upper body as weight. Crunches and planks are also good along with push ups. The other option is cheap resistance bands.

you might want to look into the book "you are your own gym" by Mark Lauren.
I found it to be a great resource :)

    I'll look for it...Thanks

Go on youtube, there are lot of different ways to do lunges and they are awesome for your legs. You can do squats too and even without added wieght are very effective. You tube is a great resource for lots of different exercises many without wieghts. I have a set of bands and they are great for adding resistance.
