Strange thing happening...

After logging my dinner (the whole day) I still have 400 cals, and will add an extra 300-500 after working out later tonight.

Strangely, I'm not really very hungry.

I think I'm going to eat a greek yogurt to keep my metabolism steady, but what are your fave things to eat when you can splurge a bit, or do you eat your calories on days like this?

FTR, I am set for a slower weight loss and Lord knows I have some "making up" to do for the way I ate this weekend, so I won't be starving myself if I don't eat anything else.

And also, in light of most of the posts I've seen today, feel free to post however you see fit. I have a sense of humour and don't get bent out of shape too easily. ;)

I drink a cup of 2% milk (sometimes chocolate milk, but not always). It's a good little "snack" and it keeps me feeling full for a while. I try this because if I go digging in my pantry, I might find hubby's stash of cheetos and cave. The milk is a better replacement.
  • Good idea. Chocolate milk sounds like the prefect treat as I'm baking a chocolate cake for my dad's birthday tomorrow and that will keep me from "sampling" too much of the icing!

I agree... milk is a great option. I think a few nuts would be another option too. The new dark chocolate almonds (dusted with cocoa powder) are yummy and satisfy my sweet tooth.

I had the same thought as everyone else  Sometimes at night I drink the Swiss Miss diet hot chocolate before I go to bed because it fills my sweet craving and keeps me from going to bed hungry. On days like today (I also have about 400 calories left over), I make my hot chocolate with skim milk instead of water or I might make my delicious Abuelita Mexican hot chocolate instead of the diet kind.

Also, don't know if you have HEB where you live, but they have a brand call Mootopia that makes chocolate 2% milk with half the sugar and twice the protein. It is 150 calories a cup but I mix half a cup of skim milk with half a cup of the Mootopia to make it only 115 calories a cup and it is still thick and chocolatey enough to be satisfying.

When I'm running low on calories, I look to peanut butter, nuts, and beer. I modulate it depending on which nutrients I'm low on. On days when I work out a lot, it's sometimes a struggle for me to get to my calorie goal.
