Heat Exhaustion

Hi all.
I've been doing some reading inline but I'm hoping someone out there might have some answers. This month I think I've felt symptoms of heat exhaustion about 3 times. Dizziness, nausea, fatigue, major headache...
Yesterday I was actually wearing my hrm at the gym and for half an hour my it was between 175 and 187. Typically at my classes I sit around 150 and 165. Yesterday was 35 degrees C / 95F.
Anyway, from what I've been reading online electrolyte imbalances can contribute, so I went through my diary and typically I'm under my sodium goals by 1000-1500 almost every day. About once a week I meet/exceed it.
Also its only this month that I've put a al effort into drinking adequate water.
Is this the sort of situation where people drink sports drinks? I did a quick search through the forums and at once stage someone asked about taking a salt pill, but no one replied to that thread.
Quick other facts: I'm eating about 1300 calories a day. I zigzag over the week but it always averages out. I'm 24 and weigh 76kg. I don't know if my fitness levels affect anything, I'm no athlete but I'm certainly not un-fit.

it's definitely important to stay hydrated when you're working out in warmer weather. i would suggest drinking gatorade or something, but if at all possible, work out when it's cooler.
also, jealous that it's warm enough where you are to worry about heat exhaustion! i'm freezing my butt off!0
