Is anyone else obsessed with it? In particular, Man v. Food (as i'm typing this I realize its actually on the travel channel...damn), Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Chopped, etc.... I can't get enough of them! And I still want all the foods showcased, the only difference now is I just make sure to be on the elliptical as I watch them. haha

I have ALWAYS loved the foodie type channels and shows! Chopped is a good one...I have mini chopped sessions in my house all the time! I have heard it called food porn and I think I would have to agree....It doesn't make me hungry or anything...I just like pretty foods! :)

I love The Food Network, been watching it for years. I watched Good Eats faithfully and was sad to learn that Alton has stopped production. I love Chopped and DVR it every week! We also DVR Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives(that's the only one my hubby will watch with me). Overall I think I used to watch more shows years ago. Most of what's on there these days don't interest me.

I was listening to an interview with Alton Brown just today, he was let go by the Network because of his recent weight loss. They felt he didn't represent them as he did in the past because of his weight loss and they felt no one would want to watch a skinny chef.

Pathetic excuse..... but he got hired at an even better place, a restaurant he's now top chef at.

I don't follow the food channels but did recognize the name when you mentioned it in your post.

I have watched Man vs. Food and nothing grosses me out more so I definitely don't find I want to eat food after watching it. It reminds me a bit like an accident you can't look away from but wish you could. I hope he doesn't drop dead from the show, the first year he looked far different than he does now. Yes, he's put on quite a bit of weight but that's not really what I'm talking about as much as how unhealthy he's look now, his skin color. Ya know all the signs that come with eating crap for too long.
