Im so excited ! me and Hubby have booked a cruise for may of this year
so i have about 3 1/2 months to get in the best shape possible, I have dropped about
60 lbs still have about 25-30 to go and have been on a major stale for months now :frown:
What do you think would be my best plan of attack ?
Full 90 days of p90x... 30 day shred and other jillian work out...just mixing it all up?
Any advice for the best results on toneing workouts in about 90 days???

Hit the gym and do lots of heavy lifting-squats(for your butt and thighs), deadlifts(back, shoulders and abs and legs), bench press for great arms.
And, MOST importantly, watch your diet like a hawk--the motherload of delicious food will be awaiting you on your cruise!

I always go with mixing it up when there's a choice. Your body adapts quickly to exercises so if you do the same ones daily, you aren't getting all of the benefits. Same goes for calories; it's best to be over some days, a little under others and right on target some. It keeps your body guessing and your metabolism functioning at its best!

P90X is what got me in shape for our trip to Mexico last spring. But nothing dropped the weight as quickly as really buckling down on my diet. I ate as clean as I could until the trip so I could enjoy all the food while on vacation. Good luck to you and have fun on your cruise!

We just went on a Carnival Cruise.
And the food was EVERYWHERE, and I ate about 7 times a day - huge meals.

    BUT!
After every meal, I went walking through the ship up and down the decks - 14 flights of stairs up and down. It took me about 50 minutes to complete this - 7 times a day after every meal. Ours was a 7 day cruise. We had a wonderful time!

And when I returned, I gave myself a week to get back on track, then stepped on the scale, biting my nails - knowing the news would be horrid. 5 lbs gained. Just 5 lbs...:drinker:
It took me 2 weeks to lose that weight, and I have zero regrets.

    You asked for advice?
Here it is: get your fitness program on track - any one of those you mentioned is great, and have a wonderful time on your cruise.

I like your plan to get in shape! i'm sure you can drop the weight!

But, when you're on your cruise, enjoy it! I went to italy this december for a couple weeks with my mom, and she spent the whole time worrying about cals :(
I kinda threw caution to the wind and ended up gaining 7 (in 3 weeks... oops... damn wine) but, i'd do it again in a heart beat!
    Enjoy the experience!
  • You will have so much fun on your cruse! however before really watch what you are eating, lots of veggies and watch the salt. Mixing up your routine to work on different parts of the body every day will keep your body guessing what you will do next. I have faith that you can drop the weight before your vacation!!!

    good luck!

Thanks everyone, some great advise
i do plan on enjoying myself and not being to hard on myself with the diet
    while away!
I want to drop 20lbs with 14 wks to go that's less than 1.5 lbs per week
but i also want to tone especially the arms tummy and Butt
so insanity for weight loss and p90x for toning (don't think i can do both at one time lol )
Thinking maybe tae-bo every evening 3 mile walk in the am for my cardio
I have heard that weight lifting should be 2-3 times a week only would it hurt
to do say 20 minutes of weights every evening?
    any suggestions on this ?
