i have several cake mixes that list the KJ contents of what they are AFTER the addition of eggs and milk. how do i go about working out the KJ of just the mix itself? i wanted to mix it with water and make bars out of it instead of the milk, eggy cake mix.

I think most box recipes tell you what % fat milk to use (dunno, it's been a while) and large eggs. I would look up the calorie count for the milk and eggs and subtract it from the calorie total on the box.

i know betty crocker cakes mixes have "as packaged" and "as prepared" info on them - maybe find a similar flavor and use that info?

i might just do that dovesgate! it does say large egg and whole milk (blurgh).

even my Greens packet mixes say calorie content, but after the addition of everything else!!!!
