So I know losing abdominal fat requires a lot of specific changes in the diet.. What foods do I need to get rid of/what foods should I eat minimal amounts of? My whole body is changing right now... except my abdominal area!!! lol. I am under the impression breads/grains need to be seriously cut back as well as sugar. Does the sugar in some fruits count? Any other suggestions regarding abdominal fat and diet? Thanks guys! Have a great day!!

There is no food or exercise that will specifically get rid of abdominal fat. You can't spot reduce.0

Just maintain a consistent caloric deficit and you will eventually slim your belly area0 -

Listen to peeps with abs like acg There really aren't any specific foods that make much of an impact either direction. My belly fat is taking time too, the inches I've lost in the upper waist area make my muffin top gut look so much worse, but its all coming along. Your body will start on the very outside edges first and slowly burn fat inward. I lost in my face, hands and feet first. Then my arms and calves. My upper legs are starting to shrink upwards (I have actually been able to notice fat loss about one inch up at a time) and my chest shrunk too. Take all your measurements and you will surprise yourself one of these days0

Bingo.
Most women store their fat right over the hips, unfortunately. It was the last place for me that really started to slim down, my arms/legs, everywhere else slimmed down before the tummy. Just keep at it. as others have suggested, some core strengthening and focusing on your obliques can help, but even still, you need to lose the fat overall to uncover those gorgeous muscles under there.
Good luck!0 -
The above posters are correct about spot reducing. That said, some foods can cause you to bloat and not see the results of abdominal tone and any definition you may have, it does not mean it is not there it is just masked under a bloated tummy. Also irregularity can cause abdominal bloating.

The ones with calories.
Basically what other folks said about spot reducing being impossible.0 -

Maybe this explains why I feel like my belly fat/muffin top go away when I do not have breads and cakes, of course it could be the calories! LOL But I swear just a week without bready type foods and my stomach does appear to shrink I am very happy about this fact and plan to continue on the road I am on. Good luck on your journey!!!:flowerforyou:0
