How do I determine what is the right ratio for me? Obviously it differs from person to person. Does it differ depending on what my goals are? There are so many conflicting web sites, including MFP. How do I know what's right????? SO CONFUSED!:ohwell:

Don't base your intake on ratios.
1. Set calories
2. Set protein intake ( 1g/lb of target bodyweight is a good place to start)
3. Set fat ( .5g/lb of TBW)
4. Fill in the rest however you like.

Yes, it does depend somewhat on your goals, but it also depends on your body... every body responds differently to diet and exercise.
Use Ron's advice as a starting point... do that for a couple of months and see how your body reacts. Then make small changes to tweak for better results.0
