Hi All!
I'm Taylor and I am relatively new here. I've joined other communities like this but tend to quit pretty quickly.. I'm not good with motivation at all.
I'm here because I have about 20-25 lbs to lose.. when I met my boyfriend the summer of 2010, I was 20 lbs lighter than I am now and as I got more comfortable, on came the food! I am unhappy and really out of my element.. I struggle with the whole "eating better" and "exercising" because the majority of people in my life are larger and constantly tell me that I look fine, that I'm "so skinny" and things like that.
In the last three years, my lowest I've been is 115lbs after an extended illness/medication side effects (it was not a healthy weight for me and I was not there very long!) and I'm currently at my highest, 157. I'd like to see 130!
:)

The key is not "dieting" but sticking to a better way of eating and exercising...a lifestyle change. You have to WANT it bad enough to stick to it. I know you can do it!

So similar, good thing you are young and wanting a healthier you this early on. I started at 151 and my goal is 120, I am short however and think that that will be a fine weight. Best thing you can do for yourself besides exercise, is stay away from drive thru windows and processed foods. Eat as clean as possible, and workout at least 3 to 4 times a week. Good luck sweets!

I know where you are coming from I am also not a dieter tried so many diffrent things and I just cant stick to it! I am at my highest pont 169 I had my daugher about a year ago and struggling to lose weight but ive learned on this site that its not much of a diet its more of watching what you and and your calories and it really works ive lost about 6 lbs in 10 days and it feels great!!! I hope that this works for you too!!

I agree with the "don't diet" idea. I have learned to make my favorite meals in a healthier way (meatball subs made at home with turkey meatballs instead of delivery, tostadas piled high with taco seasoned ground turkey, BBQ ribs in the crockpot, etc). I do not deny myself. If I really want cheesecake, cookies or chocolate I fit them into my calories or force my butt on the elliptical to earn them.

You also have to figure out why you want to lose weight/get healthy. If it's just about a number on a scale that won't be motivation enough. You need to have a long term goal. Mine is to be healthy and fit enough to chase my kids around and be the mommy they need. Find your ultimate reason and then it will be easier to work towards!!
