I haven't run in any way shape or form since I was 13 years old, and I am determined to start running.
I finally bit the bullet today and started day one week one of C25K!
I'm using an app on my iPod so I can listen to my own music, and it beeps to tell me when to walk and when to run.
I managed to complete day one! I was tired but it wasn't too hard.
This is really encouraging, I can't wait to get back in there, now!

I was never a runner in my life and I sucessfully completed the C25K program in Dec and ran my first 5k Dec 11th with a time of 33:28. I was able to run the whole thing without stopping!! I really believe C25K can work for anyone. If it seems too hard at any point try slowing down a little but just keep running! I am now on week 3 of my 2nd round of C25K this time I am focusing on getting faster.
Good luck!!0 -
Nice job! I too am just staring C25K. I just finished Week 1 day 3 today. Let me tell ya, I'm still super tired but the feeling of finishing is awesome! Don't be afraid to do 4 or 5 days of week 1 if you need to. There is nothing wrong with waiting until your ready to go to the next step! I am planning on doing at least 1 more day of week 1 before moving on to week 2. Good luck!!!0

Hi, today is my first day here on this site. I also started c225k this week, I did day 2 yesterday and I definately feel it today. I am really glad I found this program, because I've always wanted to know "how" to run but have never been able to. Now I feel it's a real possibility for me to actually run a 5K! Good luck to you!0

C25K was wonderful.
My 13yo daughter & I did it together and graduated in Nov.
If you do a SEARCH under COMMUNITY you could probably find some others / group of others that are also starting C25K and would like to support each other.
I know the support of others really helped us push through.
We are now doing B210K and while we are stuck on wk 4 ( because of the weather ) we still enjoy hearing how everyone else is doing.
Keep pushing forward and have fun !!0
